EU Declaration of Conformity

Manufacturer declaration of directive compliance

Clear definitions for marketplaces, manufacturers, and importers.

Definition

The EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is a legally binding document in which a manufacturer confirms that a product meets all applicable EU harmonisation legislation. It is a prerequisite for CE marking.

Why it matters

Without a valid DoC, a CE-marked product cannot be legally sold in the EU. Amazon and authorities can request it at any time.

What you need to do

The DoC must contain: product identification, applied EU directives and standards, manufacturer name and address, and the responsible person's signature. Retain for at least 10 years.
