Definition
Technical documentation (Technical File) is the complete set of records proving that a product meets all applicable requirements. It is the most important conformity evidence.
Why it matters
The first document authorities and Amazon request during compliance reviews. Without it, conformity cannot be proven. Retention: at least 10 years.
What you need to do
Includes: product description, design drawings, risk analysis, test reports, applied standards, Declaration of Conformity, labelling samples. Archive digitally.
