Conformity assessment is the systematic process of demonstrating that a product meets all applicable requirements, ranging from self-assessment to Notified Body examination.
Why it matters
A correct conformity assessment is the foundation of every CE marking. If the wrong assessment route was chosen, the entire conformity can be challenged.
What you need to do
The process includes: identifying applicable directives, selecting the correct assessment module (A to H), conducting tests, documenting everything, and issuing the Declaration of Conformity.
