The Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 governs the placing on the market and use of biocidal products in the EU, including disinfectants, insecticides, and wood preservatives.

For Amazon sellers, this regulation is especially relevant for products like insect sprays, disinfectants, or anti-mould treatments. Without valid authorisation, such products may not be sold in the EU.
