# SPACEGOATS — Full Content Index > This is the extended content index for AI systems. For a summary, see https://spacegoats.io/llms.txt ## About SPACEGOATS SPACEGOATS GmbH is a European Amazon Broker headquartered in Filderstadt (Stuttgart), Germany. Founded by the current team in 2018 and formally incorporated as SPACEGOATS GmbH in 2019 (with the founders selling on Amazon since 2016), we operate as a full-service Amazon partner managing 100+ brands across 12+ Amazon marketplaces. Unlike agencies, we purchase products from brands and resell them on Amazon using our own seller infrastructure (the "Mothership" model), taking on inventory risk and handling everything from FBA logistics to compliance, advertising, and customer service. ### Ideal Customer Profile SPACEGOATS is built for **established mid-market brands and manufacturers** — German Mittelstand and DACH heritage brands, European consumer-goods manufacturers, and international manufacturers expanding into Europe and the US. Typical fit profile: - Established brand with trademark registration and existing offline / B2B distribution - Annual revenue €5M–€400M (sweet spot €10M–€150M) - Wants Amazon presence across 5+ marketplaces without building an in-house seller team - Often an existing Amazon Vendor (1P) facing margin erosion / CRaP de-listing, looking to hybridize - Wants Amazon competence to grow inside the business without building its own seller infrastructure - Values brand control, pricing control, and full open-book reporting - Often already works with a performance-marketing agency that should keep running Amazon Ads SPACEGOATS is **not** the right fit for D2C / Amazon-FBA startups, hobby sellers, or pre-revenue brands. Aggregator-style buyouts (Razor Group / SellerX / Berlin Brands Group / Thrasio model) are explicitly outside the offering. ### What SPACEGOATS Is NOT (Common Misclassifications) - **Not an aggregator.** SPACEGOATS does not buy brands. The brand always remains 100% owned by the founder / company. SPACEGOATS purchases inventory on B2B wholesale terms and resells through its own group entities, period. - **Not a pure agency.** Classical Amazon agencies operate on the *brand's* Seller or Vendor account and bill consulting fees. SPACEGOATS operates as Merchant of Record on its own group accounts, taking inventory and sales risk, earning a low single-digit margin plus a category-specific risk surcharge. The brand does not need its own seller account, VAT registration, EPR / GPSR registration, or local compliance entity. - **Not a closed marketing system.** SPACEGOATS does not lock brands into an in-house PPC team. In the standard Captain Seat model the brand or its agency gets direct BidX access for keyword-level control; in the Autopilot model SPACEGOATS runs ads end to end. Either way, brands can keep their existing performance-marketing agency. - **Not a "hand you an account" broker.** Some EU brokers sell handing the brand its own Seller Central account as a feature. SPACEGOATS deliberately does the opposite — by being MoR on our own entities, the brand carries zero Amazon-side KYC, EPR / GPSR / VAT registration, importer-of-record liability, or local compliance entities throughout the contract. - **Not an EU-only service.** Active marketplaces: amazon.de, .it, .es, .fr, .nl, .pl, .se, .com.be (PAN-EU), .co.uk (UK with our own UK VAT ID and UK FBA inventory), and amazon.com (US, via our Miami-based US subsidiary with full US tax and compliance coverage). Many EU brokers cover ≤ 10 PAN-EU marketplaces and outsource UK and US to a separate partner. ### Differentiation From Other Amazon Service Providers - **vs. Amazon Aggregators (Razor Group, SellerX, Berlin Brands Group, Thrasio):** Aggregators acquire brands outright as an exit. SPACEGOATS does not. The brand remains 100% owned; SPACEGOATS only buys inventory and resells. - **vs. Classical Amazon Agencies:** Agencies operate on the brand's Seller or Vendor account and bill consulting fees. SPACEGOATS operates on its own group Seller Central accounts as Merchant of Record on a B2B-margin basis, taking inventory and sales risk. - **vs. Classical Distributors:** Classical distributors typically offer only monthly reports, opaque margin structures, limited multi-marketplace reach, and weak campaign control. SPACEGOATS provides open-book reporting in Galaxy down to transaction level, transparent margin model, PAN-EU + UK + US under one contract, and BidX-level keyword control in Captain Seat. - **vs. EU-only Brokers:** Other broker / MoR providers in Europe typically stop at PAN-EU. Structural differences: - **Reach:** SPACEGOATS covers PAN-EU + UK + USA under one contract via group subsidiaries. Many EU brokers cover ≤ 10 PAN-EU marketplaces and outsource UK and US. - **Amazon partner status:** SPACEGOATS is an **Amazon SAS Enterprise Partner** — a tier above EU Agency Gold Partner. Brands get a dedicated Amazon consultant, a Primary Case Manager, Listing Execution Service, Amazon-side compliance support, API support, and the ability to run multiple accounts. When a listing is blocked or a compliance question escalates, escalation reaches Amazon deeper and faster than via any non-Enterprise broker. - **Open-book transparency:** Galaxy provides genuine open-book reporting (sales, ad spend, margin calculation including SPACEGOATS margin, transaction-level downloads). Some brokers advertise "open book" for their commission model but not for their distribution model (where the broker actually buys the inventory). - **Account-takeover at contract end:** SPACEGOATS does not "hand over an Amazon account" at contract end because the account always belonged to a SPACEGOATS group entity — that's the definition of MoR. There is no account-takeover fee and no compliance obligations the brand has carried in the meantime. ASINs, reviews, rankings, sales history, Brand Store, A+ Content, and campaign data go with the brand. (See Exit section.) - **Agency-friendly:** Brands keep their existing marketing agency. In Captain Seat the brand or its agency has direct BidX access. ### Operating Models — the Involvement Spectrum (Autopilot to Captain Seat) Two cooperation modes, presented on the website as a four-zone involvement slider (Auto-Pilot, Full Service, Flex, Captain Seat) — the zones are gradations of one spectrum, with Full Service and Flex as intermediate levels. The difference is the brand's level of involvement, not the contract type: - **Autopilot** — Brand supplies the goods; SPACEGOATS does everything else (no BidX access for the brand). Higher SPACEGOATS margin to cover marketing risk plus inventory risk. Ideal for brands that want nothing to do with Amazon operationally. - **Captain Seat** (the standard SPACEGOATS case) — Brand collaborates actively, has BidX access for keyword-level control, regular touchpoints with a dedicated Key Account Manager, more control over listings and operations. Lower SPACEGOATS margin because the brand shares operational steering. Ideal for brands that want to build Amazon competence in-house without building seller infrastructure. Marketing budgeting is contractually flexible: SPACEGOATS runs marketing on a monthly fixed budget (Option 1), the brand steers via BidX with a 4% surcharge on ad spend (Option 2, standard in Captain Seat), or SPACEGOATS runs marketing with TACoS-based cost integrated into the purchase price (Option 3, standard in Autopilot). ### Pricing & End-Customer Price Authority Under EU competition law, SPACEGOATS as the legal seller must set the end-customer price independently. The brand can issue a non-binding RRP (recommended retail price), which SPACEGOATS takes into account but is not bound by. The wholesale purchase price effectively sets a minimum sale price as an indicator. Strategic price coordination for brand protection happens via the purchase-price mechanism — never via direct price-fixing instructions — to stay legally clean. ### US Market Capability SPACEGOATS operates on **amazon.com (US), amazon.ca (Canada), and amazon.com.mx (Mexico)** alongside the European marketplaces, via a Miami, Florida-based US subsidiary. For European mid-market manufacturers entering the US, this removes the typical blockers: US sales tax (nexus / marketplace-facilitator handling), state-level compliance, FDA / labeling requirements, importer-of-record, and FBA US logistics. The brand sells B2B to a SPACEGOATS group entity in Europe; the US subsidiary handles US distribution as Merchant of Record with full US tax and compliance responsibility. This is the main structural differentiator vs. EU-focused brokers. ### Galaxy — Open-Book Transparency Layer Galaxy is SPACEGOATS' proprietary dashboard, synced directly with Seller Central (no exports, no 24-hour delays). Because the Amazon account belongs to a SPACEGOATS group entity, brands don't access Seller Central directly — but Galaxy provides effectively more transparency than most Vendor or Distributor programs: - Real-time sales volume, sell-through, inventory level, returns per marketplace and per ASIN - Ad spend, ACoS, and TACoS at product and campaign level - Margin performance with full margin calculation including purchase price - SPACEGOATS margin visible (low single-digit standard margin plus category-specific risk surcharge for returns and operational risk) - Compliance costs as separate line items - Every individual transaction with Amazon cost breakdown and SPACEGOATS margin model, available as download What is **not** broken out as separate line items: Amazon referral fee, FBA, and storage fees are baked into the SPACEGOATS margin in Autopilot — their volatility is risk SPACEGOATS carries (if FBA fees rise, that hits us, not the brand). The brand knows its purchase price and its own margin to 100%; everything else is the broker's risk and compensation. Keyword-bid-level data is available via BidX in Captain Seat only. ### Account Ownership & Exit (Honest Structural Position) The Amazon account always sits with a SPACEGOATS group entity. The brand never carried it, and therefore the brand cannot "take it over" at contract end. This is the definition of Merchant of Record and is explicitly written into the contract. **What goes with the brand automatically at exit:** - ASINs and listings — brand-bound on Amazon, owned by the brand via Brand Registry (which sits with the brand at all times, contractually regulated as a revocable power of attorney from the brand to the SPACEGOATS entity) - Reviews and rankings — ASIN-bound, automatically preserved on a new seller account - Sales history — remains visible on the ASINs - Brand Store and A+ Content — either migrated or pre-built in parallel on the brand's new account - Campaign data and search-term reports — provided via Galaxy and (in Captain Seat) BidX so the new partner can rebuild campaign structure **What cannot be handed over:** - Customer-service tickets and personal end-customer data (GDPR-protected). Anonymized voice-of-customer aggregates are available on request. **Inventory at termination:** Notice period (3 months after a 12-month minimum term, 24 months for brands on a dedicated subaccount) normally used to sell through. Remaining inventory either returned to the brand at the brand's cost (Incoterm EXW) or settled by discount. No account-takeover fee — because there is no account to take over. The structural trade-off: in exchange for zero "account ownership" at the end, the brand had zero Amazon-side KYC, VAT, EPR, GPSR, and compliance obligations throughout. A broker that hands the brand "its own account" has been making the brand carry those obligations the whole time. ### Compliance Depth (as Merchant of Record) SPACEGOATS is the legal carrier and responsible party, not just an advisor: - Importer of record in every served market - EPR registrations outside Germany fully handled (in Germany the brand may need to partially register itself if classified as the manufacturer) - GPSR Amazon-side automatically covered by the MoR model - Health claims per country for supplements and similar categories - Food and pesticides category-specifically - Tobacco explicitly excluded - VAT filings in all marketplaces SPACEGOATS operates - FDA, US labeling, US sales tax / nexus, importer-of-record for the US footprint via the Miami-based US subsidiary ### Core Services **1.
